2025 HOF BANQUET CELEBRATION
We’re excited to announce that the 2025 Texas Rugby Union Hall of Fame Class will be inducted on Saturday, August 23 in Houston, TX, at the Hilton Houston North.
The evening will begin with a welcoming cocktail hour at 6:00 PM, followed by the Hall of Fame Banquet. During this special event, we will honor the 2025 Hall of Fame inductees, present the esteemed Alan Sharpley Visionary Leadership Award, and celebrate the 2001 Baylor University Rugby team for their USA Rugby Men’s Division 2 Collegiate National Championship win.

Congratulations to the four outstanding members of the 10th Anniversary Texas Rugby Hall of Fame Class of 2025: Doug Corrigan, Filip Keuppens, Kelly “Spike” Kolberg, and Paul McCartney.
Distinguished Service Awards
Mattison Grey, Joe and Jackie Olivas, and David Pflegler have been named Distinguished Service Award recipients.
Alan Sharpley Award
Paul Mabry is being honored with the prestigious Alan Sharpley Visionary Leadership Award.
Travel & Accommodations
Airport
We recommend flying into George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), which is the closest major airport to the Hilton Houston North. The hotel offers a complimentary airport shuttle, available 24 hours a day.
Alternate Airport
You may also fly into William P. Hobby Airport (HOU), though please note it is farther from the venue and does not offer direct shuttle service to the hotel. Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft, as well as rental cars, are available from both airports.
Public Transportation
For those arriving early or looking to explore, Houston METRO provides bus and rail service throughout the city. While public transport options to the hotel are limited, they can be useful for getting around other parts of Houston.
Hotel
We’ve arranged a block of discounted rooms at the Hilton Houston North for $129 per night. Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The room block is valid until August 1. If you have trouble booking or see a message that no rooms are available before August 11, please reach out to traci@texasrugbyunion.com and we’ll work with the hotel to explore additional options.
Tickets
You have the option to purchase individual tickets or tables for the event. If you prefer a table, simply adjust the quantity to 10 seats. For two tables, adjust the quantity to 20, and so forth. As you make your selection, a 10% discount will be automatically applied, and you can review the discounted price in your cart.
Kindly be aware that ticket sales will close on Sunday, August 18, and no tickets will be available for purchase at the door. Make sure to secure your tickets before the deadline.

Refund Policy
Full refunds for banquet tickets are available if requested at least 2 weeks before the event. After that, a 50% refund will be issued, as supplies have already been placed in preparation for the event.
